In past years, rural landscapes have been subjected to accelerated transformation, resulting in fragmentation and melting identities. Anyway, it does seem that in rural ambiences one should defer from actions of total transformation. This is the case, a building restoration to transform the former family house into a pleasant and comfortable place to be. The first impression is that little has changed since centuries. The design interventions were concentrated along terraces and avoiding the darkness of traditional mountain houses. Let me introduce you the place: come on, in.

Location and surrounding area

This house is located in Montoro de Mezquita. Situated between the limestone cliff and the Guadalope river to the west of Maestrazgo mountain range, Montoro de Mezquita is a tiny village renowned for its unique geological scenery and for being inside a cul-de-sac valley. Remarkable gorges are one of the most distinctive features of this natural space.

There are plenty of country walks to enjoy right on your doorstep and popular walkboards, especially Vallore Balcony and Guadalope Pasarelas. Quintessential villages such as Villarluengo, Pitarque and Cañada de Benatanduz are just a few minutes drive away.

Property details
