Sierra de Gredos

Sierra de Gredos: One of the oldest mountain formations in the Iberian Peninsula.

It is part of the Sistema Central, including the highest peak Almanzor 2591 m. The absolute predominance of granites was replaced by ice in the glacial phase of Würmian, by some 40 glaciers that created rugged ridges and seas of blocks with their force. Hiking, and challenging mountain scenery are more than enough reason to visit this beautiful area.
