Day
1

Meet up in Beceite (Hotel Font del Pas). Briefing.
Beceite - Valderrobres. 6 km

Valderrobres is a municipality and the major town of Matarranya region in the province of Teruel. To gain access into the town you cross the medieval bridge of San Roque, held up by pointed arches, and a Renaissance townhall building.

Its urban layout is composed of narrow, winding streets which creep up the top of the hill in search of the two most emblematic buildings: The Gothic church of Santa Maria and the castle. The name of the town means "Valley of Oaks", referred to the presence of oak (roure in local language).

Day

Beceite - Parrizal Gorge - Beceite. 13 km.

Fifteen minutes transfer by car to starting point.

Parrissal Congost becomes a combination of water, rock and forest. We leave towards El Parrizal, a narrow valley formed by the Matarranya River, which gives the name to this area. The walk runs alongside the river but avoids water holes with the help of footbridges. Always find fragmented trail segments on both riversides, sometimes at one side and some to another, which help us to continue the hike.

Over 1h 20‘ path leads to El Congost (narrow corridor). The valley becomes narrower and the walls of the sides are closer. Return on the same way to Beceite. Longer and nicer option: Return vía Camino Natural del Matarranya (Masía San Miguel)

I really loved the journey from Beceite to Moles D'Arany. It is little bit challenge, yet the views are amazing. There is a platform at Roca Morera which gives a lovely quiet area from where you can indulge in the peace, admire the view and indulge in the fresh air and the silence. It was lovely and perfect for a quiet meditation if you are into that. One of the best excursions I ever had. Most people that visit here just go to El Parrizal but what they miss is the wonderful relaxing area just up on the slope at the top of them. Close observation of the natural world and the importance of the imagination. I can only recommend the experience! ˮ

Excellent location. If visiting Beceite this is the choice with its own free parking and working wi.fi.; huge rooms and comfortable beds , modern bathroom, garden and swimming pool. It is next to the river and a river walk and trails galore. It is the ideal place to visit Els Ports and its restaurant is fabulous. Personnel is extremely well informed and provides advise. By the way it is the place for the perfect romantic escape and walking holidays, pristine nature and peace are the goals.ˮ

Just 1h and a half from Reus Airport you can walk the narrow streets of another century. Valderrobres ,the old town centre sits beside the river Matarranya, with streets cascading down from the castle. What attracted us to Valderrobres is that as you stroll along, enjoy the history that is naturally filtered through the narrow streets some of which are only 2 meters wide. Visit the castle and the church and explore the architecture that harks back to the Middle Ages. The town lies only a few minutes from Beceite. Try the hike Beceite to Valderrobres.ˮ

The British friends — United Kingdom

We booked this place in the quiet Beceite as a stopover between Pyrenees and Valencia and visited the beautiful Matarranya. The hotel was spacious as well room, and the bed was comfortable. Dinner was first class, refined courses, yet in a relaxing atmosphere. It really made our stay at Beceite special. The owner was also very knowledgeable about the region and gave us good tips for hikes around. We would like to recommend La Caixa and Peryganyol views.ˮ
